Whiskey 'til Morning

Inspired by a late night drinking whiskey around a blazing fire.

VI: Deep in the woods on the darkest night of winter

The stars on the snow shining bright

We are a prophet, a savior and a sinner

And I know what we're gonna do tonight

CHORUS

Gonna stay up and drink whiskey 'til morning

With the man with eyes cold as ice

The best answers by far come from a mason jar

But the questions, they come with a price

VII: The wind may blow cold, through the windows of your soul

But it's warm right here by the fire

So pass me that bottle

I'll wax poetic like Aristotle

About the darkness, the dreams, the desires

CHORUS

Gonna stay up and drink whiskey 'til morning

With the man with eyes cold as ice

The best answers by far come from a mason jar

But the questions, they come with a price

VIII:You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you can't make him think

You can't get blood from a stone

With every change of season

Can't seem to find a reason

Why I'm in this cabin drinking alone

CHORUS

Gonna stay up and drink whiskey 'til morning

With the man with eyes cold as ice

The best answers by far come from a mason jar

But the questions, they come with a price

Deep in the woods on the darkest night of winter

The stars on the snow shining bright

We are a prophet, a savior and a sinner

And I know what we're gonna do tonight
